Pureoutdoors TUMEKE Times Autumn 11

Catch up on all the lastest corporate team building activities, events & ideas from the team at Pureoutdoors. 

Things have been rather full on as of late, with the earthquake in Christchurch recently it has been amazing how the whole country has been feeling the emotional aftershocks.  Everyone I have spoken to has been affected in some way.

We took a few big shocks ourselves, having family just moved to CHCH to study we felt helpless like so many others.  Then the financial aftershocks, having several large clients postponing events & conferences due to throwing all their resources at supporting their team mate’s in Christchurch.

Feeling helpless we were inspired by some of the outstanding fundraising efforts around the country. So the Great Kiwi Bake off was created overnight & went off like a plate of fresh pikelets. The response was so overwhelming we closed up shop for a week & gave it all to raise as much hard cash as possible for our friends down South.

A fresh new look has been created so you can pick & mix the best team building events , new team cuisine ideas & our wicked conference mix full of hot as new ideas, not to mention great venues.  We have gone with the times & created a Team Talk blog to keep you up to date on what’s happening around here.

We have now taken this event to new heights as teams will compete against our Master BBQ Chef and there can only be one winner!  All teams will need to compete in several quick fire challenges as well as design & cook a two course meal on their BBQs. To read more

Our Big Telly Break - 4 years later TV1 screen's Do or Die

 Driving home from the Legends of League charity match to raise funds for Christchurch I receive a text "George Clooney wazup". We filmed Do or Die 4 years ago with Eyeworks Touchdown, thinking it had been lost in the TV1 archives it bloody turns up unexpected last Thursday. To read more

What’s on the cards for this month:

Team Roadie – This has been loads of fun creating a Team Roadie to Matakana for a group as a sales reward. How does this sound, cruise in your team bus to Chocolate Brown (Warkworth) or the best coffees & a yummy chocolate demo. Then it’s wine time at a private vineyard in Matakana with tasting to get into the swing of things for Master BBQ Chef overlooking Omaha Bay. Then it’s off to Matakana Cinema for a private screening of Oceans & maybe a few more local wines.
