We would love to thank Pureoutdoors for an amazing event. They turned what would have been another 'conference dinner' into a fantastic, fun filled evening with plenty of friendly rivialry, inspired cooking and general mischief making.
Master BBQ Chef New Zealand Pureoutdoors have been running The Great Kiwi BBQ-Off for over 4 years now, everyone loves it….check out some of the feedback below. It’s competitive, engaging and very creative and loads of fun We have now taken this event to new heights as teams will compete against Pureoutdoors Master BBQ Chef, there can only be one winner. All teams will need to compete in several quick fire challenges as well as design & cook a two course meal on their BBQs. Teams will be supported by a professional Chef to help with ideas, cooking techniques, presentation and much more.
Chefs Brief: Yes we can come to you or arrange a superb off site location, park the beach the bush. We roll in BBQ stations for all teams; this includes team aprons, chef’s hats and everything you need to create the most amazing cuisine.
The FOOD: We are all passionate about food around here and love the freshest seasonal produce, freshest seafood and fantastic meat we can get our hands on, you want be disappointed….that’s Chefs Guarantee.
All you do is turn up with the right attitude and a competitive streak. Teams will also be tested on their environmental awareness, composting, recycling and much more.

Meet our Master BBQ-Chef Glenn has been firing up his BBQ and tuning up his skills this summer entertaining friends & family on his portable BBQ….a few nice cold beers and some classic kiwi family …...be warned he is on fire.
Master Chef Glenn has an extensive background cooking, having trained in New Zealand Glenn won a scholarship to training in St Mortiz Switzerland were he worked in a two Michelin Star restaurant before moving to Scotland to cook at the famed Road Hole Grill at the St Andrews Hotel.
Back in Auckland Glenn worked at some of the best restaurant including the French Café under Simon Wright. Helped set up Toby’s kitchen & The living Room in Titirangi a back in the early days.
Glenn then took his passion for cooking and the outdoors to new heights as a wilderness guide and has cooked amazing food from his kayak in Alaska, entertained on the Milford Track, Abel Tasman National park and many more spectacular wilderness locations around New Zealand & Australia.
